Research

Our group develops simple and highly sensitive biosensors and innovative bioimaging technologies based on electroanalytical chemistry.

Research

Development of biosensor/biosensing technologies

We are developing simple and highly sensitive sensors utilizing functions of biological molecules to create a society through daily unobtrusive health monitoring, to provision of safe and reliable medical care, and to promote the digital health business.

・Just-pour urine protein sensor

・Sweat sensor for appropriate level exercise

・Simple and highly sensitive endotoxin sensor

・Immunosensors for point care testing including for early diagnosis of primary aldosteronism

Development of electrochemical microscope using bipolar electrode array

Electrochemical microscopes have been studied as a technology for unlabeled visualization of local chemical concentration distribution. We have demonstrated closed bipolar electrode array dramatically increase the resolution of the microscope. With this technology, we aim to visualize communication by chemical substances between cells.

・Fabrication method of high-density closed bipolar electrode array

・Application to biomeasurement

・Dopamine distribution imaging using cathodic luminophore
